Dialogue Facilitators

Amina Hassan Ahmed is a Nigerian, Muslim, peacebuilder. She is the Executive Director of Women Initiative for Sustainable Community Development (WISCOD). Amina convenes conflicting parties, mediating through quality leadership and achieving a common ground for sustainable peace.

She serves humanity with the utmost sense of commitment and dedication regardless of ethnic or religious background. She is proficient in mediation and consensus building, emergency response and humanitarian services, project monitoring and evaluation, working with women/children peace and security, advocacy and lobbying, HIV/AIDS education, prevention, HCT and PMTCT, working knowledge of projects, projects design, guidance & counselling, mediation and negotiation, creative leadership, training and facilitation, Interfaith dialogue, public & media relations, peacebuilding and conflict management, project management, trauma counselling and healing, working with female sex workers and drug addicts, establishing peace clubs in formal and informal settings and research and documentation.

Amina holds a Post- Graduate Diploma in Adult Education and Community Services from University of Jos, Plateau State 1992 – 1994, B.ed Adult Education and Community Services, Bayero University, Kano, 1995 1998, Msc Peace Conflict Studies, University of Jos, 2015.

Amina also holds certificates in Human Rights, Gender Conflict and Peacebuilding, Understanding Violence in Africa and the third World, Intervening Identity and Religious Based Conflict and Leadership, Good Governance and Peacebuilding from African Peacebuilding Institute (API) Kitwe, Zambia, 2005.
