Irene Limo works with the United Nations Development Programme South Sudan within the Peace and Community Cohesion Project, where she supports community dialogues and civil society organizations working on the peace and development nexus in South Sudan. Until recently, Irene was the Coordinator of the Preventive Action and Mediation Cluster at the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) based in South Africa where she was responsible for leading the implementation of peacemaking and mediation initiatives. She also works with different actors in strengthening the role of women in peace processes as well as youth engagement in mediation. Irene studied at the University of Nairobi.
