Lorraine Adhiambo is a peace actor and a graduate of Civic and Development Education from Tangaza University College, Kenya. She has passion working with women and children in the informal settlements of Nairobi.
She is a member of the Dandora Community Justice Centre, a human rights defender who is passionate about empowering communities to identify with issues affecting them. Her focus area is sexual and gender based violence, women and child protection. She is currently part of the Young Women Leadership Program (YWLP) mentors by Amani Women Network where she has given her services relentlessly to the young women leaders.
She is a result oriented community development practitioner experienced in providing administrative support to complete projects. She is knowledgeable in: project management, proposal writing community mobilization and organization, conflict prevention and management, gender activism, child protection and human rights, data collection and dissemination as well as capacity building, planning and implementing community based activities.
She engaged different communities and stakeholders during the 2017 pre and post-election and managed to identify issues that initiated violence and the trends. She yearns to see a society free from conflict and violence but a society co-existing peacefully as one.
