Ellyjoy Kithure Masila is a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist with over 17 years of work experience in the development and humanitarian context. She has led various processes on peace building, conflict resolution and stabilization extensively in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Uganda, Burundi and DRC.
She has led and facilitated research on GESI in peace building and stabilization programs, developed training curriculums and facilitated trainings on the role of women in peace building and stabilization.
She has been on the frontline in lobbying and advocating for inclusion of women and youth in leadership in Kenya and Somalia. She has provided consultancy services and worked professionally with various international organizations working through national, regional and global mechanisms to support GESI work in emergency, humanitarian and development contexts.
